The International Conference on Intelligent Computing for Sustainable Biosphere and Infrastructure (ICIC-SBI) recognizes the growing role of artificial intelligence (AI) tools in academic writing and research. While such tools can support productivity, their use must be responsible, transparent, and aligned with academic integrity standards.
AI tools (e.g., language models, grammar assistants, or code generators) may be used only for limited support purposes, such as:
- Improving language clarity and grammar
- Assisting with formatting and organization
- Supporting coding or data visualization under author supervision
However, AI tools must not be used as a substitute for original scholarly work. The intellectual contribution, analysis, interpretation of results, and conclusions must be the sole responsibility of the authors.
Authors are required to ensure that:
- All content submitted is original and critically developed by the authors
- Any use of AI tools is properly reviewed, validated, and verified
- All sources and references are accurately cited and traceable
- The manuscript reflects genuine academic insight, not automated generation
The following practices are strictly prohibited:
- Submitting content that is predominantly AI-generated without human validation
- Fabricating references, data, or citations using AI tools
- Using AI to paraphrase or rewrite existing works without proper citation (plagiarism)
- Misrepresenting AI-generated content as original human-authored work
All submissions may be subject to manual review and AI-detection screening, in addition to standard plagiarism checks using tools such as Turnitin or iThenticate. Papers found to violate these policies will be rejected.
Authors remain fully accountable for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of their submissions, regardless of the tools used during the writing process. The conference upholds strict ethical standards to ensure that all accepted papers represent credible, verifiable, and high-quality academic contributions.
